Who We Are

The Iowa Association of Railroad Passengers is Iowa’s main advocacy group for the expansion of passenger rail. We were formed in 1981, the same year Amtrak’s Black Hawk service to Dubuque ran for the last time. We are dedicated to promoting our current rail services, as well as fighting for passenger trains to return to more of our largest cities.
